LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The City of Henderson introduced its new police chief Wednesday afternoon.
Reggie Rader will replace acting chief Itzhak Henn. The announcement came during a press conference with city manager Stephanie Garcia-Vause.
Henn announced he will retire in June after 26 years of service. Captain Anthony Branchini was named to succeed him.
Rader was deputy chief with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and has three decades of police background.
His first day will be July 7.
The city has been searching for a new chief since early March. Former police chief Hollie Chadwick was terminated after receiving an ultimatum from the city to either get fired or resign with a hefty settlement.
It’s been less than a week since Chadwick announced her mayoral campaign for Henderson.
