LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – City Hall provided the backdrop last night for a celebration of Hispanic Culture here in Las Vegas.

The 2024 “Honor” Latino Awards recognized activists, artists, business leaders, and others – all recognized for their civic accomplishments and contributions.

The honorees were chosen by a panel of community members. Organizers say the focus isn’t exclusively on members of the local Latino community but extends to anyone having a positive impact on it.

“It’s so important to make sure that they know that we are very, very grateful for their contributions, and to helping us uplift our community, whether it’s in the health space, in the arts and culture space, in the educational realm,” said Ward 3 City Council member Olivia Diaz.

This is the second year the city has hosted these awards.
