LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Clark County Commission has approved a construction contract for a Las Vegas-area opioid rehab center.

According to Clark County Officials, the facility is described as the county’s first-of-its-kind rehabilitation center in Nevada.

Last July, Commissioners approved $165 million to fund the project using opioid settlement funds.

The facility is intended to take a different approach to treatment by supporting people through various phases of recovery, county officials said.

The latest vote advances the effort toward construction, according to Clark County Officials.
