LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Clark County Commissioner Justin Jones is hosting “The Great American Kickoff” on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Desert Breeze Ballfields.
The free event includes a kickball tournament, a grill-off between teams from Clark County, LVMPD, CCFD and VAREP, and a car show with more than 60 vehicles.

“The Great American Kickoff brings our community together to celebrate unity, support our veterans and first responders, and honor those who have sacrificed for our safety,” Commissioner Jones said.
A tribute ceremony at 4 p.m. marks the 25th anniversary of Sept. 11 and includes a moment of silence for LVMPD Officer Austin Abdelnabi, who died Aug. 4.
Festivities begin at 4:30 p.m.
