NEXUS stands for Nevada’s Emerging Workforce eXcellence through Upskilling and Student Success. The initiative will focus on connecting education with workforce needs and providing students with additional pathways to earn college credentials.

CSN plans to develop at least 12 artificial intelligence courses and nine pathways that allow students to move from noncredit workforce training into college credit programs.

A new Faculty Fellows Program will provide AI-focused professional development for 120 faculty members.

Two dedicated advisers will help technology students with academic planning, staying on track and working toward completing their credentials.

The initiative also aims to strengthen connections between classroom learning and employer needs in cybersecurity, cloud computing and data analytics.
