LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Henderson police and fire departments are investigating their second homicide for the city this year.

Police responded to the 100 block of Cielo Abierto Way for a reference check on Saturday, March 9, around 7:40 a.m. This is near Horizon Ridge Parkway and Stephanie Street.

Officers located a female and man, both at the age of 52, dead at the scene. Detectives preliminary investigation reveals the incident is “likely” the result of a murder-suicide.

“The name of the decedents will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office pending notification of next of kin,” police said. “As this is an open investigation, no further details will be released at this time.”

This is being investigated as the second homicide for the City of Henderson for 2024, according to the Henderson Police Department.
