LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Thrive Cannabis Marketplace became the first business to receive a Cannabis Consumption Lounge license on Thursday morning.

The board approved licenses for over forty businesses in 2022, which included a mix of independent, local, and corporate businesses. In the summer of 2023, several businesses received conditional licenses, and were expected to open last fall.

Thrive’s lounge, which is named “Smoke and Mirrors,” will open to the public in late February.

“We’ve marked a lot of ‘firsts’ in Nevada and we’re honored to yet again be at the forefront of Nevada’s cannabis industry by officially launching the first regulated Cannabis Lounge in the state,” said Mitch Britten, Managing Partner and CEO of Thrive Cannabis Marketplace. “With ‘Smoke and Mirrors,’ we have created an unparalleled destination for cannabis enthusiasts to enjoy a diverse range of premium products in a really engaging atmosphere.”

Key features of the “Smoke and Mirrors” experience include a curated selection of cannabis products, a cannabis-infused cocktail program, product launches and demonstrations, and a “welcoming and stylish” setting.

The “Smoke and Mirrors” lounge is located at 2975 South Sammy Davis Jr. Dr.
