LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Flavor Flav is putting a spotlight on women’s sports with a first-of-its-kind event called “She Weekend,” celebrating female athletes and the impact they’re making on and off the field.
The event kicked off earlier today at Park MGM, drawing a large crowd of supporters. Flav told us it’s been a privilege to host the celebration and see the support it’s already received.
Female athletes and local advocates at the event emphasized the need for greater recognition and visibility in women’s sports—along with continued progress toward closing the pay gap. Flavor Flav says he’s committed to shining an even bigger spotlight on women’s sports in the future.

“I have a 7-year-old daughter, and just the fact that this event exists is amazing,” said one attendee. “I think it’s so cool to have little girls look up to something like this.”
The event also featured a march with female Winter Olympians and local organizations, alongside children and young girls who play sports, all coming together to celebrate women in athletics.
