LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Clark County Wetlands Park will host Discovery Day on Saturday, June 27, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Activities will be indoors at the Wetlands Park Nature Center, 7050 Wetlands Park Lane, near Tropicana and Boulder Highway. The event is open to participants of all ages.
Attendees can experience encounters with live desert creatures, crafts and activities, and various interpretive and interactive exhibits. No advance registration is required for the free event.

Mojave Max will join the fun. Inside the nature center, explorers can spin a wheel to match animal footprints, build a miniature wetlands landscape, and create a critter to take home.
Partnering organizations will be on-site, sharing activity ideas to keep families entertained all summer long. Free snow cones will be available while supplies last.
The Wetlands Park Nature Store will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., offering a selection of nature-themed gifts, apparel, books, jewelry and more.
Clark County Wetlands Park is home to more than 300 species of birds and 70 species of mammals and reptiles, including beavers, coyotes, bobcats and snakes. The nature center is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and hosts a variety of programming activities.
Park outdoor hours are dawn to dusk, seven days a week. More information can be found on the Clark County Website.
