LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Henderson Police Department and the North Las Vegas Police Department have each concluded enforcement campaigns under the Joining Forces program, a multi-jurisdictional initiative targeting distracted and impaired driving, speeding, seat belt use and pedestrian safety.

Henderson Police Department
Henderson Police concluded its 11th campaign under the current Joining Forces Program. The enforcement initiative ran from August 14, 2026, through September 1, 2026.
During the campaign, Henderson Police stopped 317 motorists. Of those stops, officers issued 71 distracted driving citations, 107 speeding citations, 23 intersection violation citations and 37 citations for other traffic-related offenses.
The Henderson Police Department received $174,500 in grant funding for enhanced enforcement through the Nevada Department of Public Safety’s Office of Traffic Safety for the 2026 Joining Forces program.
North Las Vegas Police Department
The North Las Vegas Police Department concluded its Joining Forces #11 campaign, conducted August 7 through August 31, 2026.
NLVPD Traffic Division officers made 188 traffic contacts, resulting in three arrests, 167 citations and 63 warnings. Citations issued included violations related to distracted driving, speeding, seat belt use, child passenger restraints, intersections and other hazardous moving violations.
Officers educated 24 drivers during traffic contacts about dangerous driving habits, according to the department. Officers dedicated approximately 95 overtime hours toward enforcement efforts aimed at reducing distracted driving.
During the campaign, officers also drafted a DUI blood search warrant in support of a DUI arrest.
NLVPD continued its partnership with neighboring law enforcement agencies through the Southern Nevada Traffic Task Force.
