LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Henderson Police Department said they are on scene of a barricade in a desert area Tuesday afternoon and are “breaking it down.”

Police are west of the 1700 block of Galleria Drive in reference to a possible domestic related incident.

Police said the barricade was believed to involve a male in a tent who is “possibly armed.”

SWAT and CNT are at the scene.

Police say this is an active investigation and no further details are available at this time.

The Clark County School District Police Department said Harriet A. Treem Elementary, Jim Thorpe Elementary and Thurman White Academy were in soft lockdowns because of the barricade. FOX5 was told around 2:20 p.m. that the lockdowns were lifted.

A FOX5 photojournalist is headed to the scene and we will provide more information as they become available.
