LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Henderson is waiving penalty fees this month for homeowners who completed projects without permits.

The city is offering the amnesty program to mark Building Safety Month. Homeowners who added a room, converted a garage, did electrical or plumbing work, or installed patio covers, water heaters or air conditioning units without a permit can now pull the proper permits in May without paying extra penalties.

Homeowners will still pay standard permit fees. The goal is to get work inspected and up to code.

Henderson homeowners with questions about residential construction can speak with a City of Henderson Development Services Center representative at 702-267-3620. More information about the amnesty program is available at cityofhenderson.com.
