LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — An arrest report obtained by FOX5 detail the moment woman insisted she would not miss her flight and abandoned her dog at an airport ticket counter.

On Feb. 3, Germirah Hobbs was late for her flight when she approached the JetBlue ticket counter at Harry Reid International Airport with her tan medium-sized dog, according to the arrest report.

The airline employee told Hobbs her dog was not registered for the flight, and she would need to fill out the online form, the report says.

An employee told officers that Hobbs stated, “Call animal control. I’m not going to miss my flight,” before tying the dog to the luggage measurement device and walking off to the security checkpoint.

The employee then called the police, the report said. And officers later located Hobbs at the D gates, where she was denied boarding.

Hobbs was then escorted to the police substation, where she was cited for abandoning her dog. According to the report, Hobbs became disruptive, began ignoring officers’ demands, and started walking in the opposite direction.

The report says officers then handcuffed Hobbs and proceeded to detain her as she resisted on multiple occasions, dropping her body and refusing to walk on her own. According to the report, officers were forced to carry Hobbs and place her in a wheelchair.

The goldendoodle, nicknamed JetBlue, was taken in by the Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas. JetBlue was later adopted by the officer who saved him.
