LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Racing legend and Las Vegas native Kurt Busch is helping usher in a new era at his hometown track, the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Busch, now retired from NASCAR, is focused on vintage and “bucket list” races while watching the Bullring get rebuilt into a showcase short track for the Southwest.

Busch said he will “absolutely” be at the new Kyle Busch Classic, a race now named in honor of his brother. He said the event is one drivers have always circled on their calendars, and he said the race now carries even more weight.
“It’s great to have that year-end race named after my brother. It’s that one that everyone always looks forward to and you want to win it. And it’s going to have more prestige, more history, and more value at this point,” Busch said.

Busch said the new tributes out front, including a display honoring Kyle, are meant to inspire the next generation of Vegas racers chasing their own shot at the big time.
