LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – La Bonita Supermarkets announced that its store at Desert Inn and Eastern, which has been closed since an awning collapse in 2021, will remain closed for the time being.
The market previously told FOX5 that it was targeting a reopening in late 2023. However, according to a social media post, the grocery chain said many unexpected delays have occurred in the construction phase that has delayed the reopening for several months.
La Bonita previously told FOX5 that when they do reopen the store, they plan to fill 120 positions, including bringing back several workers who transferred to other stores after the awning collapse forced the Desert Inn/Eastern store to close.
