LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Oklahoma City Baseball Club defeated the Las Vegas Aviators, 6-3, in the finale of the six-game homestand before a crowd of 5,014 at Las Vegas Ballpark.

Oklahoma City improved to 21-24 in the second half and 61-59 overall. Las Vegas dropped to 23-21 and 60-59. OKC won the series, 5 games to 1.

OKC rallied from a 2-0 deficit and scored four runs in the fifth inning. Center fielder James Outman was 2-for-4, two home runs, 5 RBI. He hit a three-run HR in the fifth and an inside-the-park, two-run HR in the eighth.

OKC left-hander Alec Gamboa pitched 3.0 innings in the no-decision. He allowed 5 hits, 2 runs, issued no walks, and struck out 1 on 59 pitches (36 strikes).

Las Vegas left-hander Hogan Harris suffered the loss. He pitched 4.2 innings and allowed 7 hits, 4 runs, walked 1, and struck out 9 on 97 pitches (68 strikes).

Aviators first baseman Ryan Noda was 2-for-5 with two doubles, RBI, run scored. Designated hitter Jordan Diaz was 2-for-3, HBP, RBI.

The PCL has a scheduled off day on Monday, August 19. Las Vegas will then embark on a season-long 12-game road trip beginning in Northern Nevada against intrastate rival, the Reno Aces, in a six-game series from Tuesday-Sunday, August 20-25.
