LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) — The Las Vegas City Council will recognize the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at its Sept. 16 meeting.
Ward 1 Councilman Brian Knudsen will recognize the foundation, a voluntary health organization that gives those affected by suicide a community empowered by research, education, and advocacy to act against suicide. Established in 1987, the foundation is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide.

The council will also recognize the September 2026 Employee of the Month.
The meeting begins at 9 a.m. in Council Chambers on the second floor of Las Vegas City Hall, located at 495 S. Main St.
The meeting will be broadcast live on City of Las Vegas TV and on the City of Las Vegas TV YouTube channel.
Those wishing to comment on items on the council agenda can do so by attending the meeting in person and participating in the public comment periods.
