LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Thrills are nothing new for Las Vegas, but the latest sports franchise to call the city home gives a completely different meaning to the word.
The Vegas Thrill brings professional volleyball to the Valley. Its ownership includes Las Vegas Sands executive Andy Abboud, Former Nebraska Attorney General Jon Bruning, and the Foley Entertainment Group, which operates both the Vegas Golden Knights and the Henderson Silver Knights.
Leading the team will be legendary former LSU coach Fran Flory. Flory coached the Tigers for more than 20 years, leading them to one SEC championship and 7 Western Division titles. She was inducted into the American Volleyball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2022.
The Thrill spikes off their inaugural season on Wednesday, February 7 in Omaha against the Supernovas. They make their home court debut at the Dollar Loan Center on Thursday, February 15. Tickets are available on the Thrill website.
