LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas Metropolitan Police were out on the roads in full force over the New Year’s holiday weekend with the specific mission of finding, and busting, suspected impaired drivers.
Metro says they issued 181 citations, and made 33 DUI arrests during ramped-up enforcement. They also recovered three firearms.
Officers say, with so many safe ride options, there’s simply no excuse for driving under the influence.
RTC offered free rides throughout the holiday, and the Monorail offered reduced-rate tickets.
