LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A local trade school has opened a new lab to give students more realistic training.

Quality Training Center says its new lab is a house built to give students experience in a simulated home setting.

Students will get to see wires and connections for things like air conditioning, lights and fans, refrigerators and other major appliances, all as they would be set up in a customer’s home.

The school says it will prepare students for conditions on job sites before they enter the work force.

“All the knowledge, the hands-on experience, talking the language, seeing what the real life looks like. I feel like it’s just a priceless part of being in blue collar,” said Aaron Clark, academic director at Quality Training Center.

Quality Training Center is Southern Nevada’s longest-running independent trade school specializing in HVAC, electrical and refrigeration work.
