LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A 27-year-old Las Vegas woman has died from injuries she sustained in a single-vehicle crash that occurred earlier this month on a Las Vegas highway ramp, authorities announced.

Chloe Marie Pineda succumbed to her injuries on Friday, February 13, nearly two weeks after the initial collision.

She was pronounced deceased at a local area hospital where she had been receiving treatment in critical condition.

The crash occurred on Sunday, February 1, at approximately 12:14 a.m. on the southbound Interstate 15 to Interstate 215 east ramp, east of the I-15 south to Las Vegas Boulevard (State Route 604) ramp in Las Vegas.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the preliminary investigation indicates that Pineda was driving a white 2015 Volkswagen Jetta southbound on the I-15 to I-215 east ramp in the number two travel lane when she failed to maintain her position within the marked lane.

The vehicle traveled to the right, leaving the roadway and entering the shoulder area. The Volkswagen then struck a concrete pole support and continued southbound before colliding with a concrete bridge pier barrier.

Pineda was transported to a local area hospital immediately following the crash, where she remained in critical condition for nearly two weeks before passing away.

The Nevada Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

No further details have been released at this time.
