LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A Las Vegas woman has been indicted on a murder charge in connection with the death of her 1-year-old child, according to court documents.
Alivia Bree Thrift faces two felony counts: murder and child abuse, neglect or endangerment resulting in substantial bodily harm.

The indictment alleges that between Jan. 22, 2025, and March 24, 2026, Thrift willfully and with malice aforethought killed the child, identified only as E.T., who was approximately 1 year old. The indictment alleges the killing occurred during child abuse, specifically by failing to provide sufficient nutrition and/or water, and/or by unknown means.
The second count alleges that over the same period, Thrift caused E.T. to suffer unjustifiable physical pain and mental suffering through abuse or neglect. The indictment specifically alleges the child was made to sit, lay or roll in urine, feces and vomit with insect activity, resulting in substantial bodily harm.
Murder is a Category A felony in Nevada. Child abuse, neglect or endangerment resulting in substantial bodily harm is a Category B felony.
Thrift is due back in court for a status check on her trial readiness on Thursday, Oct. 22. Her trial date is tentatively set for March 22, 2027.
