LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A resort billing itself as Las Vegas’s only LGBTQ+ hotel officially opened its doors Monday night.

The Bent Inn and Pub at 11th and Ogden follows in the footsteps of properties like the Blue Moon Hotel, which closed in 2014.

The owner says the resort is open to everyone, gay or straight, but his main goal is to provide a supportive environment to his guests.

Mark Hunter tells FOX5, while other resorts in the Valley have excelled at welcoming the queer community, there’s only so much they can to do provide a similar level of ease.

“When you’re dealing with the other members and visitors to an establishment, you don’t always get that same reception, and when you’re here, you know you’re in a safe space and it’s comfortable,” he says.

The Bent celebrated it’s first night in business with a pajama party. Anyone who attended in their PJs got a discount on drinks.
