LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A murder victims’ family is dealing with their second tragedy in six months.
Saturday evening, 44-year-old John Dorotiak was gunned down outside a Dotty’s on North Hualapai Way near Farm Road.
“John was the life of the family. He was a fun, loving and playful uncle,” said his niece Nicole Manning.
Manning tells FOX5 last year her brother was killed by a reckless driver while he was out riding his bike.
Police say Dorotiak and 36-year-old Jessica Russo were killed by Mark Michael Ford.

Russo died four days earlier, according to Metro.
Manning says her uncle’s death is difficult to deal with. He was a new dad to a 16-month-old little girl.
The motive behind the deaths of Dorotiak and Russo is still unknown.
“They worked together for a few years,” she said.
The suspect, 36-year-old Ford was found dead by police a few hours after Dorotiak was killed, sources say.
