LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department released a list of the intersections in its jurisdiction with the highest number of traffic crashes in July.
In the Bolden Area Command, the top crash intersections were:
- Rancho and Washington
- Simmons and Vegas
- Sahara and Valley View
- Decatur and Vegas
- Decatur and Meadows
In the Convention Center Area Command, the top crash intersections were:
- Tropicana and Paradise
- Tropicana and Koval
- Tropicana and Las Vegas Boulevard
- Flamingo and Las Vegas Boulevard
- Harmon and Paradise

Contributing factors
LVMPD said some of the top contributing factors in injury crashes during July included:
- Failure to yield the right of way
- Failure to maintain lane, running off the road, or wrong-way driving
- Disregarding a traffic control device
Fatality numbers
As of August 17, LVMPD reported 74 traffic fatalities in 2026, compared with 103 during the same period in 2025.
