The victim of the crash was later identified as 55-year-old Jeffrey Buchbaum, a special education teacher who worked with several schools within CCSD.
During Thursday’s hearing, a judge is expected to hear a motion about bail for Zwick. Prosecutors are pushing for him to be held without bail, while defense attorneys are opposing it.
Zwick is due in court at 8 a.m.
