LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries Tuesday night after being struck and trapped between two vehicles on East Charleston Boulevard, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
The collision occurred at approximately 10:33 p.m. on Aug. 4, 2026, on East Charleston Boulevard east of South Main Street.
According to LVMPD, a 2023 Chevrolet Suburban and a 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQS were both stopped westbound at a red light on East Charleston Boulevard at South Main Street. The Mercedes-Benz was stopped behind the Chevrolet.

A pedestrian was crossing East Charleston Boulevard from north to south, east of the intersection and outside of a marked or implied crosswalk, passing between the two stopped vehicles. For an unknown reason, the Mercedes-Benz accelerated forward, striking the pedestrian and trapping him between the two vehicles.
The pedestrian was transported by emergency medical services to University Medical Center’s Trauma Unit, where he was admitted with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Mercedes-Benz remained at the scene and did not show signs of impairment. The driver of the Chevrolet Suburban was not injured. A passenger in the Suburban claimed injury. A second passenger was not injured.
The collision remains under investigation by LVMPD’s Collision Investigation Section. Evidence at the scene, video surveillance, and witness statements are being used in the investigation.
