LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The man accused of being involved in a fight outside a Las Vegas Walmart that led to a deadly police shooting last week is due for his initial court appearance Monday morning.
According to court records, Kwame Swain is facing three misdemeanor counts of domestic battery and one felony charge of attempted coercion related to the fight.

An arrest report obtained by FOX5 stated that Swain was arguing with his girlfriend outside of the store when he began exchanging words with two other suspects in the case, Raqiya Smith and Amena Blue. A fight broke out from there, during which punches and rocks were thrown, according to police.
At one point, Smith stepped away from the fight to call her husband, Travis Ward, to come help. When Ward arrived, police say Smith pointed out Swain to him, and Smith walked into the store and shot him in the stomach. According to the report, he attempted to fire again but the gun malfunctioned.
An arriving police officer saw Ward leave the store with the gun and fired his own weapon at him, striking and killing him.
Swain was hospitalized with critical injuries, though an updates about his condition were not immediately available.
He is due in court at 8 a.m.
