LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Following the NBA’s recent approval of Mark Cuban selling his controlling interest in the Dallas Mavericks to the families of Dr. Miriam Adelson and Sivan and Patrick Dumont, employees learned that they’ll be seeing a reward for their work and dedication to the team.

“As a thank you for all your hard work making the Mavs an amazing organization, each of you will be receiving a bonus from myself, and the Adelson and Dumont families,” Cuban wrote in an email to employees.

He said that the total amount of the bonuses would be “approximately $35 plus million dollars.” He said that the exact amount would be calculated using “a framework that took into consideration how long you have worked for the Mavs.”

No exact timetable was announced, but Cuban told the employees that they would see the bonuses “in the very near future.”

“I’m excited to continue our work making the Mavs the best franchise in all of sports,” he wrote in conclusion.
