LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total gaming win of $1,388,340,168 in May 2026, a 7.43% increase compared to May 2025, according to a press release issued Monday by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

For the fiscal year running July 1, 2025 through May 31, 2026, statewide gaming win is up 2.76% compared to the same period the prior year.

Las Vegas Strip leads gains

The Las Vegas Strip reported a gaming win of $807,887,432 in May 2026, a 13.19% increase from $713,767,433 in May 2025. Strip gaming win for the fiscal year stands at $8,198,471,003, up 2.28% year over year.

Clark County as a whole reported $1,202,889,993 in gaming win for May, a 7.41% increase from the prior year. Fiscal year-to-date Clark County gaming win totals $12,708,039,253, up 2.29%.

Some markets post declines

Downtown Las Vegas reported a gaming win of $63,931,768 in May, a 4.16% decrease from May 2025. Laughlin posted $40,976,621, down 5.18% from the prior year. The Balance of Clark County reported $164,350,570, a 5.63% decline.

North Lake Tahoe reported the steepest year-over-year drop among tracked markets, falling 10.74% to $1,709,927.

Northern Nevada and other markets

Washoe County reported a gaming win of $98,169,040 in May, up 8.34% from May 2025. Reno posted $70,490,683, an 11.07% increase. South Lake Tahoe reported $16,684,883, a 23.49% increase from the prior year.

Elko County reported $37,592,976, up 4.52% from May 2025.

State tax collections rise

The state collected $89,509,125 in percentage fees during June 2026, based on taxable revenues generated in May 2026. That figure represents a 19.07% increase, or $14,338,670 more, compared to June of the prior fiscal year, when collections totaled $75,170,455.

Fiscal year-to-date percentage fee collections total $1,036,360,553, up 5.07% from $986,388,785 the prior fiscal year. The totals do not include $7,503,478 in transferable tax credits taken fiscal year-to-date, according to the Gaming Control Board.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board noted that all figures reflect the most recent data available and are subject to revision.
