CARSON CITY (FOX5) — Governor Joe Lombardo will host Nevada’s annual wildfire briefing as the state enters the 2026 fire season, with officials expected to discuss conditions, resources, and public safety planning.
Gov. Lombardo is expected to speak at 11:30 a.m. in Carson City, according to the governor’s office.

Leaders from state and federal fire management agencies are expected to provide updates on what to expect this season and resource preparedness.
According to officials, participating agencies include the Bureau of Land Management, the U.S. Forest Service, the Nevada Division of Forestry, and the Nevada Fire Chiefs Association.
