LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Nevada SPCA will host its 6th annual Neon Dog Walk presented by Findlay Subaru of Las Vegas on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Silverado Ranch Park in Las Vegas, according to the organization.

Gates and registration open at 3 p.m., the walk begins at 4 p.m., and festivities continue through 7 p.m., according to Nevada SPCA.

Participants are invited to wear neon attire for the walk, which raises funds for shelter, medical care, enrichment, and adoption services for homeless pets, according to Nevada SPCA. Funds also support community programs including a pet food pantry, low-cost microchip clinics, and medical assistance initiatives, according to the organization.

“Our Neon Dog Walk has become one of our favorite community traditions because it celebrates the incredible bond between people and their pets while directly helping animals in need,” Executive Director Lori Heeren said. “As a local, independent nonprofit, we rely entirely on the generosity of our community. This year’s goal is to raise more than $125,000 to provide lifesaving care for homeless animals and vital support services for pet owners throughout Southern Nevada.”

Every registered participant will receive a commemorative 2026 Neon Dog Walk T-shirt and a wag bag, while supplies last, according to Nevada SPCA.

The event also includes Neon Village, which is open to the public and features a live DJ, entertainment, doggie stage contests and prizes, food and beverage vendors, a craft beer, wine and cocktail garden, and pet-friendly vendors and activations, according to the organization.

Registration is $35 per person, and children 12 and under are free, according to Nevada SPCA. Participants may register individually or create and join fundraising teams. Details and registration are available on the Nevada SPCA website.

For safety, dogs must be friendly, current on vaccinations, and remain on a leash throughout the event, according to Nevada SPCA.
