LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Nevada Task Force 1 deployed Monday morning to New Mexico ahead of anticipated flash flooding from Hurricane Polo.
The team deployed as a Type 3 Water configuration with multiple boat teams and 45 individuals, according to a release.

Representatives from Clark County Fire Department, Las Vegas Fire Rescue, North Las Vegas Fire Department, Boulder City Fire Department and Henderson Fire Department make up the team, along with several civilian volunteers.
Nevada Task Force One is one of 28 Federal Urban Search and Rescue teams and is the only team currently assigned to this activation.
The deployment is expected to last up to two weeks. The team’s exact work location is still unknown.
The team is anticipating heavy rain while traveling through Arizona and New Mexico.
