LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Nevada Gaming Control Board is providing new details about last month’s cybersecurity incident.

According to an update from the board, no personal information was accessed or acquired by any unauthorized persons during the incident.

Once the board became aware of the incident, the NGCB took steps to investigate the situation and secured the website by shutting down the existing website and transitioning to a new one.

A further investigation was conducted by the board’s IT team, the Office of the Chief Information Officer, fellow law enforcement agencies, and external legal and forensic experts.

“The NGCB is pleased to report that the investigation uncovered no evidence that personal information was accessed or acquired by any unauthorized persons in connection with the Incident,” the board noted in an update. “The security of the NGCB’s information systems is a top priority. Accordingly, the NGCB will continue working diligently to maintain such security.”
