LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – NV Energy customers are expected to be lower in 2024 and possibly into 2025, according to a letter sent to customers Wednesday morning.
NV Energy CEO Doug Cannon said customers will see a lower energy rate on their bill starting April 1. Cannon said the average customer bill in Southern Nevada is projected to decrease by 15% by the end of 2024 compared to 2023.
The energy company said natural gas prices have declined and “we are able to pass that savings on to our customers through lower energy rates.” NV Energy said lower energy costs are expected to decrease through the end of the year and into 2025.
Of course, energy bills are expected to rise overall soon with the warmer summer coming and energy usage increasing, so NV Energy continues to advise on conserving energy where you can to reduce monthly energy costs.
