LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A shooting left a man dead and a woman injured Monday afternoon in North Las Vegas, according to police.
Officers with the North Las Vegas Police Department responded at approximately 2:03 p.m. to the 2500 block of Ellis Street following reports of a woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Upon entering the residence, officers discovered an adult male with an apparent gunshot wound. Police stated he was beyond life-saving measures and pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency medical personnel provided treatment to the injured woman.
Investigators indicated that the shooting was an isolated incident involving only the two individuals found inside the home. Authorities emphasized that there are no outstanding suspects and no ongoing threat to the community.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the deceased man’s identity along with his official cause and manner of death once next of kin have been notified.
