LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Henderson’s own Paseo Verde Little League team, representing the Mountain Region, exploded late to secure a commanding 14-6 victory over the Midwest Region on Wednesday at the 2026 Little League Baseball World Series.
Both teams started quiet, remaining scoreless through the first three innings. The Paseo Verde offense broke the ice in the top of the fourth inning, pushing across four runs. They added another run in the fifth to build a 5-0 lead.
The floodgates fully opened in the top of the sixth inning when the Paseo Verde offense exploded for nine runs, bringing their total to 14.

The Midwest Region mounted a dramatic, last-ditch comeback attempt in the bottom of the sixth, scoring six runs, but the deficit was simply too large to overcome.
Paseo Verde finished the game with 14 runs on 10 hits and committed two errors. The Midwest Region tallied six runs on eight hits with zero errors.
With the victory, Paseo Verde advances further into the bracket of the prestigious tournament in Williamsport.
