LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A pedestrian died days after being hit by a motorcyclist earlier this month, Las Vegas police say.

Officials with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said the crash happened on May 3, just after 3 a.m. at Flamingo Road and Tamarus Street. Police said the pedestrian was a 43-year-old man.

Police said a crash happened when the pedestrian tried to cross Flamingo Road as the motorcyclist approached the intersection. The rider fell off the bike and fled on foot, police say.

Officers said the pedestrian was taken to the hospital with significant injuries, but LVMPD’s Fatal Detail did not respond because the extent of the injuries did not meet the department’s criteria to respond.
