LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is searching for a vehicle involved in a deadly east valley hit-and-run crash.
The collision occurred Sept. 14, 2026, at approximately 8:47 p.m., according to police.
Evidence at the scene and surveillance video indicated a male pedestrian was crossing Nellis Boulevard westbound outside of a marked or implied crosswalk, police said. A 2022-2026 Genesis GV60 traveling southbound on Nellis Boulevard struck the pedestrian with its right front, according to police.

The pedestrian was projected southbound onto the west sidewalk of Nellis Boulevard, police said. The driver of the Genesis failed to remain at the scene and fled southbound on Nellis Boulevard, according to police.
The pedestrian sustained mortal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said.
The pedestrian was a 44-year-old man. His identity is pending notification of next of kin, according to police. Information on the driver remains unknown.
Police are looking for a 2022-2025 Genesis GV60. The vehicle will have damage to its right front and right side, according to police.
