LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — As the 2025 edition of the Formula One Heineken Las Vegas Grand Prix approaches, officials have unveiled a timeline for work that will take place on and around the Las Vegas Strip to prepare for the annual event.
In a release, officials detailed the work, which will mostly take place overnight. The schedule is as follows:
Overnight lane reductions on Koval Lane between Kruger Drive and Harmon Avenue
Sept. 15 – Oct. 3
9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
One lane will remain open in each direction overnight on Koval Lane between Kruger Drive and Hamon Avenue.
Lane reductions for the construction of the “Bellagio Fountain Club” on Las Vegas Boulevard between Flamingo Road and Bellagio Drive
Sept. 15 – Nov. 10
24 hours
Three southbound lanes will remain open during the 24-hour per day closure. The sidewalk in front of the Bellagio Resort will be closed to pedestrians during this time.
Overnight closure of Harmon Avenue at Audrie Street from Carriage House Access Drive to Signature Access Drive
Sept. 23 – Oct. 3
9 p.m. – 8 a.m.
All left turns at the intersection of Harmon Avenue and Audrie Street will be eliminated during this time, and flaggers will be present for the installation of the Audrie Street vehicular bridge.
Lane reductions on Sands Avenue from Las Vegas Boulevard to Manhattan Street
Sept. 29 – Oct. 17
9 p.m. – 6 a.m., Sunday – Friday
One lane will remain open on Sands Avenue, between Las Vegas Boulevard and Manhattan Street, in both directions during this time. Eastbound lanes on Sands Avenue will be reduced to one lane 24 hours a day, as will westbound Sands Avenue from Koval Lane to Palazzo garage.
Overnight lane reductions from Sands Avenue to Harmon Street
Oct. 6 – Oct. 31
12 a.m. – 9 a.m.
Las Vegas Boulevard from Sands Avenue to Harmon Avenue will have one lane open in each direction overnight.
Officials also provided RTC route changes that will take place due to the circuit preparations.

- Stop 1250 northbound after Harmon Avenue
- Stop 1253 northbound after Rochelle Avenue
- Stop 1248 northbound after Flamingo Road
- Stop 1260 southbound after Krueger Drive
- Stop 1261 southbound after Winnick Avenue
- Stop 1249 southbound after Flamingo Road
- Stop 1247 southbound before Rochelle Avenue
- Route 119 (Simmons/Koval) stops closed nightly from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Sunday – Thursday. The affected stops are:
- September 28 – October 3

- Stop 1250 northbound after Harmon Avenue
- Stop 1253 northbound after Rochelle Avenue

- Stop 1247 southbound before Rochelle Avenue
- Route 119 (Simmons/Koval) stops closed nightly from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Sunday – Thursday. The affected stops are:
- Stop 2505 westbound Sands Avenue after Koval lane, which serves both Route 119 northbound and Route 203 westbound (Spring Mountain/Desert Inn/Lamb), will be closed 24 hours a day beginning at 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 28, and will remain closed until post-race.
- Stop 2504 eastbound Sands Avenue after Koval Lane (Route 203 eastbound) will also be closed nightly from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Sunday – Thursday.
