LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – FOX5 has confirmed prosecutors will seek the death penalty against Spencer McDonald when his case goes to trial.
McDonald is accused of murdering three people at a Southwest Valley apartment complex in June. Prosecutors say he killed his grandmother, 80-year-old Dina Vail, her boyfriend, 43-year-old Andrew Graden, and 45-year-old Christopher Brassard, a maintenance worker. All died from either blunt force trauma or stabbing wounds. In grand jury testimony, investigators described a particularly disturbing crime scene.

McDonald now faces three counts of murder with a deadly weapon and one count of attempted murder with a deadly weapon.
His next hearing is scheduled for April, with the case scheduled for trial in September.
