LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Another hockey team is entering Las Vegas this fall with the PWHL.
The growth of hockey in the desert has been exponential since the Knights came to town, with no signs of slowing down. The general managers from the league’s four new expansion franchises — Vegas, Detroit, San Jose and Hamilton — met with the media this week.

Vegas GM Dominique DiDia joins the front office after working with CAA Sports, launching the agency’s women’s hockey department and serving as co-head of the division. She worked closely with professional and amateur women’s hockey athletes on representation, marketing and career development.
She spoke on why the Las Vegas market was so appealing for a PWHL franchise.
“Watching the growth of the Knights, being in that city, you drive in the suburbs, and everyone has embraced being in a sports city,” she said.
The next order of business for Didia and the PWHL is the expansion signing period to create a roster, which begins on June 5.
