LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – FOX5 sources confirm Special Agent in Charge Spencer Evans has been let go after serving over 20 years with the FBI.
Evans assisted in the investigation into the Cybertruck explosion outside of Trump International Hotel on New years Day.
Evans joined the FBI in 2004 and was promoted to special agent in 2022.
“He brought a positive perspective of the agency to the community,” sources said.
This news comes as several FBI senior officials are reportedly being forced to resign or retire to avoid being fired.
The ultimatum was given by the Trump Administration to top officials promoted under former FBI Director Christopher Wray, according to reports from the Associated Press and CNN
President Trump’s pick to lead the FBI Kash Patel testified in confirmation hearings he would not take retaliatory action as the agency’s director.
Reports say those asked to step down have until Monday or they will be fired from their role.
