LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — As autumn brings cooler temperatures to the valley, the Springs Preserve is welcoming back its popular Butterfly Habitat.
Slated to open on Saturday, October 3, the seasonal habitat features hundreds of free-flying butterflies from throughout the Americas fluttering through a vibrant, lush landscape.
Guests in attendance can get an up-close look at the pollinators and observe how they interact with the flowering plants that sustain them.
The habitat runs Thursday through Monday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting, with the final admission granted 15 minutes before closing.

Exhibit hours remain subject to change depending on local weather conditions and scheduled special events, officials say.
Admission to the Butterfly Habitat is included with regular entry to the Springs Preserve and free for members. The seasonal exhibit runs through Monday, November 23.
General admission for Nevada residents is $9.95 for adults, $4.95 for children ages 3 to 17, and free for children 2 and younger.
