LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A woman is critically injured and the suspect is dead after a southeast Las Vegas barricade.
Las Vegas police said they responded to reports of a stabbing in the 3100 block of Tarpon Drive around 2:11 a.m. This is near Pecos Road and Tropicana Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found the victim and transported her to the hospital in critical condition. Police learned the suspect was inside a nearby apartment, but he rescued to comply.
Police said the incident turned into a barricade. SWAT and crisis negotiators responded. When SWAT entered the apartment, the man died from self-inflicted wounds.
“Please avoid the area,” police said. “This is an ongoing investigation.”
