LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The suspect seen attacking Las Vegas District Court Judge Mary Kay Holthus in a now-viral video is expected back in her courtroom Monday.

Judge Holthus ordered the suspect, Deobra Redden, to appear in court at 9:30 a.m. Monday “by any and all means necessary.”

This order came after Redden, while still in custody, refused to attend his court date last Thursday following the attack.

Both the judge and a deputy marshal were reportedly injured in the attack.

The judge returned to work the next day, and the marshal was hospitalized and later released.

“I feel for the judge, I feel for the entire court system and that issue, and it’s unacceptable,” said Governor Joe Lombardo. “We’re going to do better. We’re going to do.”

Monday’s hearing is expected to include a competency determination.

Then on Tuesday, Redden is due back in court for a status check regarding the new charges stemming from the attack on the judge, including seven counts of battery.
