LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A convicted criminal who leaped over a railing in order to attack a Clark County District Court judge at his sentencing hearing has been ordered by that judge to return to court.

Judge Mary Kay Holthus was reportedly injured in the attack that went viral when video of the incident was released. She returned to work the next day. The suspect, Deobra Redden, refused to attend his next scheduled hearing, despite being in custody.

On Friday afternoon, documents obtained by FOX5 show that Judge Holthus signed an order calling for transport to a Monday court appearance “by any and all means necessary.”

That hearing is scheduled for January 8 at 9:30 a.m. Redden also has a status check scheduled the next day regarding the new charges stemming from the attack on the judge, including seven counts of battery, among others.
