LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The University of Nevada, Las Vegas’s William F. Harrah College of Hospitality is introducing the state’s first undergraduate degree in sport hospitality management.
The 120-credit program was developed with industry executives to address workforce demand in Las Vegas, which is home to more than 10 professional sports organizations. It builds on UNLV’s hospitality management program, ranked first in the nation in the 2026 QS World University Rankings.

“This degree combines the expertise of the nation’s top-ranked hospitality program with the needs of the rapidly growing sports industry, preparing graduates to lead at the intersection of sport, hospitality, entertainment, and events,” said David Cárdenas, dean of the Harrah College of Hospitality.
Coursework includes Sport Sales & Revenue Generation, Sport Event Management and Promotion, and Sport Policy & Governance, along with a mandatory internship. Graduates can pursue roles including game day coordinator, athletic director, sport marketing specialist, and facility operations manager.
