LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The UNLV women’s soccer program signed six new Rebels for fall 2025, head coach Jenny Williams announced Thursday.
The class features local signee Purity Williams along with three California additions in Scarlette Druian, Dagny Marion and Julia Salem.
Purity Williams, Midfielder, Las Vegas, NV
Williams, who is a midfielder, attends Northwest Career and Technical Academy in Las Vegas. During her local club career, she earned a 2023 ECNL All-Conference selection with Las Vegas Heat Surf. She plans to major in biology.
“We went after Purity as soon as we could. She embodies everything that we’re looking for in our program, both on and off the field. She gives 100 percent of herself all the time. We can’t wait to get her here, as she will fit in seamlessly with our team culture, style of play and immediately make an impact,” said Williams.
Scarlette Druian, Defender/Forward, Newbury Park, CA
A defender and forward, Druian will be starting her senior season at Oaks Christian High School. In three seasons at OCHS, she has contributed to back-to-back Marmonte League Championships (2022-23; 2023-24), as well as a CIF Division II Southern Section runner-up finish and CIF state semifinal appearance in the 2020-21 season. With her club team, Druian has spent 13 years with the highly competitive LAFC So Cal Youth. She plans to major in marketing.
“I have literally seen Scarlett develop into a phenomenal person on and off the field from my early coaching days in California. She is going to bring new attributes, power and strength to add to our attack. Julia comes from a phenomenal club that has developed her. She brings with her a high soccer IQ, can play simple or drive through a crowd and is very adaptable,” said Williams.
Dagny Marion, Midfielder/Forward, Los Angeles, CA
Marion, a midfielder and forward, will also begin her final season at Flintridge Preparatory School this fall. During her time at Flintridge Prep, she has helped guide the Wolves to a league championship in each of her three seasons. Druian has played at the club level for 2022-23 E64 national champion Los Angeles Soccer Club, 2022 SoCal State Cup Champion Tudela FC, LA Surf GA, Strikers ECNL and Los Angeles Soccer Club UWS. She is undecided on a major.
“Dagny is a gem in Southern California. Brilliant in wide areas, she’s a crafty left-footed player who loves to exploit space on the outside, and she’s all about this sport and being excellent in every aspect. She will only get better and better daily and soar at UNLV,” said Williams.
Julia Salem, Forward, Fresno, CA
A forward, Salem is a senior at Bullard High School. In her three seasons at BHS, she has played a key role in the Knights earning three straight second-place finishes in CMAC league play. At the club level, she played for the Clovis Crossfire 2007/2006 Girls Academy. She plans to major in kinesiology.
“Julia’s a player that could develop in many different positions for us at UNLV. She has so many athletic attributes that will make her so successful here. You know I love a player that goes to the ground, so that grabbed my attention about her right away. She is gritty and relentless, and will be hard to stop,” said Williams.
