LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Vegas Golden Knights are the only sports team with showgirls, and the Vegas Golden Belles represent some of the city’s last standing Las Vegas showgirls.
“We’re lucky enough to have some of the city’s last standing Las Vegas showgirls in the Golden Belles,” said Alexandra Zevalking, manager and coach for the Golden Belles.
Showgirls have become more rare over the years, which makes seeing them at VGK games special for locals and tourists.
“VGK is officially the only sports team that has showgirls currently,” Zevalking said.

Who are the Vegas Belles?
Many of the performers come in with strong dance backgrounds.
“As far as, like, the younger, newer girls coming in, I would say, like, ballet training, jazz training,” Zevalking said.
Others have performed in some of the most iconic shows on the Strip.
“We have many girls from Jubilee, Follies, Vegas, the show, and they’ve come in,” Zevalking said.
The demands of being a Belle
Being a Belle is more than just looking the part. The routines can be intense, and so is the wardrobe, including the headdresses that add some weight.
In the arena, they wear a 20-pound headdress for the “Wall of Distraction,” a VGK tradition not seen anywhere else in the NHL.
“It’s basically all the showgirls lined up at the ice when the opposing team comes out to warm up,” Zevalking said. “Their job is to try to distract the other team during warm-ups. That’s kind of fun, and we do some choreography at the ice.”
Brittany has been a showgirl throughout her dance career and a Vegas Belle since 2021. She said their day starts long before fans even take their seats.
“Actually, 90% of our job happens before the puck even drops,” she said.
She said a lot of that work is about making sure everyone feels included, even if they’re cheering for the other team.
“We want everyone to feel welcome,” she said. “It’s a big part of the in-game experience in Las Vegas, the entertainment. And it’s for everyone who comes.”
The team usually has 10 performers and they represent female sports inside the arena while being a big part of the fan experience.
The showgirls will perform at game six on Sunday at 5 p.m.
